Balance in Natural Science

According to what I have learned about evolution, caios is the solution to bringing about order and advancement of all things. One part of the theory is that it all started with a "Big Bang." What was there before the "Big Bang?" As life evolves on the earth into different animals, this evolution continues in animals by mutations in their genetic codes over time turning them into different animals. The reason and need for these mutations is because of dramatic changes in the environment in which they live requiring them to change for survival. The eventual "extinction" of the old type of animals is the result of the "survival of the fittest." Scientific theories such as these that make up the whole of the "Theory of Evolution" are suposed to bring about a greater balance to our natural world.

Let us then explore some questions to the areas of science that have been proven over and over again. I would like for someone from the scientific community to answer these questions with as much detail as possible. What is the natural tendency of objects (living or non-living) to do over time? What would happen if just one planet in our solar system were to be thrown off balance in it's orbit, even if just by the tiniest bit? What happens to an animal or plant when it's genetic code is changed in any way? What happens to the earth if it gets hit by a meteor that knocks it just the tiniest bit closer to or further away from the sun? Ok that should be enough questions to allow for some good discussion about how evolution works or doesn't. I await your answers, so that everyone reading is able to have some food for thought.
